Pollarding
A method for controlling the size of a tree. Your tree may be in a confined area and growing too large. Pollarding is an option you can use to keep your tree alive without removing it completely. All branches are removed and the tree cut to the required height. The initial look of a Pollarded tree is very sparse and bare, however new foliage will appear with the growing season.

Crown Raising
Removing lower branches of a tree. Crown Raising allows pedestrians, vehicles, mowers a clear space to pass easily underneath. Additionally, it gives both a better view for parks / lawned areas, and can also form a neatly shaped tree.

Deadwooding
This is the removal of all dead wood from the tree, quite simply for safety reasons. Dead wood is great for wildlife, however in urban areas the risk of it falling means removal is necessary.

Tree Removal / Felling

Occasionally trees may need to be removed for various reasons. This can either be done by felling from the ground, where possible, or more often than not, due to where the tree is situated, we climb it and take it down section by section. Rigging equipment is used to enable the safe lowering of heavy sections thus ensuring there is no damage done to the surroundings.

Tree Surgery

REWTS Tree Surgeons are fully equipped to manage any task you may require. There are various things that can be done depending on your needs and the trees needs, and it’s always better for us to come and assess what needs to be carried out with a free consultation.

Find below the full details to understand more about the services you may need:

Crown Reduction
This is done to reduce the size of the tree’s canopy, yet maintain an attractive shape and appearance.

Crown Thinning
Removing branches from within the tree without reducing height or spread. This is often done if there is overcrowding, allowing more light to pass through the tree.

Stump Grinding

Stump Grinding
Using a stump grinder we can completely remove the stump and what remains underground, down to approximately 40 cm below ground level.

Woodchipping

With the use of a woodchipper, we can condense the ‘waste’ and chip all of the smaller branches directly into our trailer. This on site procedure not only enables us to condense the quantity to be removed more easily, but also gives the chipped product a use. These can also be left if requested.
